CYCLING: AN INTERNAL ADVENTURE
[alwele pojas]
Aside from the fact that Mountain Biking philosophically acts as a condition of possibility through a great way of adventure with fellow bikers, mountain biking also benefits the biker itself physically. This time I’m going to share about the Physical Advantage in cycling as experienced by yours truly and the rest of the Talibon Cycling Adventurers.
Every cyclist benefited the cycling sport physically. The most important part that would benefits cycling is our cardiovascular system. I think I’m not qualified enough to share about the matter for it requires a doctor or anatomist to go further in details but this does not falsifies my testimony regarding cycling and cardiovascular system.
I am working in a computer business namely; computer technician [hardware/software], website developer [blogging/website designing], and anything that applies computer [photoshop/video,audio remixes]. Spending a lot of time in computer blurs my eyesight, numbed me from hip to toe, gave me headache that terribly bothered me, and hard-time breathing that eventually put me down with the sickness.
After recovering I decided to go inside a gym to find myself out there to get fit and healthy but a neighbor favored me to borrow his racer type bicycle and went a ride for 2 kms. I got even 5 kms. of pushing pedals and felt the fresh air and sweated a lot. I sighed in contentment and decided buying a personal bicycle.
As an update from my 3 weeks of cycling, my flabby belly and leg muscles are building up as well as leg strength. It also strengthens tendons, and most importantly my breathing condition is now absolutely normal. My eyesight is clearer and my insomnia got rid of and anything that bothered me when it comes to physical health, rid out.
How does this one work? In cycling fat burning takes place and therefore lose weight. Fat burning takes place according to a certain level of one’s heart rate. Our heart and lungs makes up our cardiovascular system and the more our legs work of bending and stretching the more our cardiovascular system work together to level-out the leg’s strength being spent. Going through this body-clockwork system our internal organs which our cardiovascular system is made of is like being washed by a metaphorical washing machine. There is an internal event inside our body that helps us sweat a lot, and we need water from our cycling canteen to replenish that. That’s absolutely washing our internal organs.
Thus far for cycling as an internal or inward adventure and lastly as parting words, “Cycling is not only an external adventure of seeing and moving around places, cycling is also an internal adventure of being physically fit.
Your Talibon cycling adventurer,
Alwele
