Biking Nutrition Support

[alwele]

Biking under the burning sun quench you to thirst, makes you very tired, and would even put you to head-stroke. But there is a better way to ride longer with comfortable riding experience.

First thing first, eat and drink before you ride and stuff yourself with something healthy. Eat the right thing like fruits and vegetables. Ride your bike at the right time like an hour before you step into your bike where the foods being consumed are properly digested.

Diets: As per my biking experience I eat like a Hedonist where I guess there's nothing much to worry about getting fat. But still proper and healthy diet is advisable. Eat something like:
1. 60-70% of carbohydrates
2. 20-20% of protein
3. 10% of fat.

When you are ready to go for a ride prepare yourself with banana. Banana is essential since not only easy to consume but also provides 105 calories from carbohydrates, and replaces potassium which gets lost from sweating.

Since you are sweating while biking you replenish your body with water for those who only takes a short ride. For a long ride it is advisable to quench it with sports drink such as; Gatorade, Redbull, Lipovitan, Powerade etc. Sports drinks can help you ride longer. Do not wait 'till your body tells you it needs nourishment for the energy might not be able to reach your muscles fast enough. Just take a drink every fifteen minutes with about 20 ounces of liquid every hour. Lastly, do not eat snacks with high fat while riding. Fat is nothing when compared to carbohydrates.

Bring along with you with
Biking Nutrition:
1. Banana
2. Water
3. Tiger Energy
4. Gatorade
5. Lipovitan
6. Redbull
7. Powerade
